We have a wonderful yarn called Shiraito in the shop. It is by Noro, a cashmere-angora blend (yes, it is like butter to touch and to work with), and comes in the kind of fabulous and artistic color-ways we have come to expect from Noro. I’ve worked out a simple one-skein scarf pattern that allows working with this yarn to truly fall into the affordable-luxury category. The pattern is free with purchase of a skein of this yarn!
A customer sent me a picture of the ubiquitous Bermuda shawl done in a yarn we havealways loved but thought of as a baby yarn– Silly Stripes! Isn’t her shawl gorgeous? It has now moved to the top of my want-to-knit-it list.
