LYS day, Labor Day, and a temporary schedule change

Happy Labor Day! And we’re celebrating LYS day all week! Different open days this week, and finally another tailgate Knit, Nibble, & Sip!

First, I wish you all a happy and safely distanced Labor Day. I’m taking that day off so we’ll be closed on Monday.

The annual LYS day, rescheduled from April, takes place this Saturday, September 12. We’ve decided to celebrate all week! Blue Sky Fibers is offering a code for a free pattern with any Blue Sky Fibers purchase (the code is good 9/11/20-9/13/20 only) and Berroco has something great on offer, but info on that will have to wait a couple of days! My grab bags were such a success that for this week, for every $30 you spend on regular-priced yarn you can choose a grab bag (valued at at least $30) for free.

Our schedule will be slightly different this week. We’ll be closed Monday, open Tuesday 12-4, closed Wednesday and Thursday, then open 12-4 Friday, Saturday and Sunday.

Our first tailgate Knit, Nibble and Sip was so much fun that we’re repeating it this Saturday to coincide with LYS day. The event will take place in our parking lot beginning at 3 pm and last until everyone has had a chance to cycle through the shop (in groups of up to 5) at least once to see all our new goodies. Berroco’s new fall yarns are all here and some glorious new sock yarn from Schoppel has arrived.

You will need to bring your own sips and nibbles, and don’t forget a chair, a side table… whatever you need for comfortable crafting in a tailgate situation! And I probably don’t need to remind you to maintain social distancing (even outdoors), to wear a mask when approaching someone to admire their work, and to sanitize your hands before touching other peoples’ knitting and/or crocheting.

See you soon!
